Nothing says I support the troops by the following comments:
"I have always been an advocate for nonviolence and I have stood as firmly against the Iraq war as I did the Vietnam War 40 years ago," she wrote. "I realize now that I might have contributed to a better welcome home for those soldiers fresh from Vietnam. Maybe that's why I didn't hesitate to accept the invitation to sing for those returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. In the end, four days before the concert, I was not 'approved' by the Army to take part. Strange irony."
By the way.... that statement is not the definition of irony. How on earth can you be surprised that the ARMY does not and did not approve you??? You want to be accepted? Go out and find some Vietnam Vets, tell them how sorry you are for treating them like shit and then thank them for their service.
Give me a fucking break. I'm sick to death of the hypocrites that pay lip service to the troops as though SAYING they support them is supporting them? What does that even mean to you people? You cannot support the troops by being against EVERYTHING that they do. You owe your way of life and your freedom to them - singing a few hippie songs about rainbows and ponies and getting high doesn't appeal to them. Pathetic. They don't want or need your charity, go peddle it to someone who cares, - that bitch Sheehan, Sheen, Baldwin etc....
