I have the honor of paying tribute to Donald Peterson. He was killed on Flight 93 along with his wife Jean on September 11th. Don was 66 years old, Jean was 55. Donald and Jean Peterson were flying to San Francisco for an annual family trip to Yosemite National Park. Donald Peterson, 66, former head of Continental Electric in New Jersey and a former member of the New Jersey Board of Education, had started working as a Christian missionary about 10 years ago with his wife. Jean had just held her first grandchild, one of her three daughters said. Donald and Jean lived a life of quiet service to alcoholics and addicts, women with crisis pregnancies and residents of impoverished nations. Both had loving families and I know they will be very missed.

Grace and Catherine and all of your family~ We don't get to see each other very often but I just wanted you to know that all of your friends at home think about you constantly. We love you and we loved your mom and Don. You are always in our prayers.

I first met Don at America's Keswick, "where God speaks to hearts", where he was counselling some of the men I also was working with. His warm understanding compassion won my immediate admiration and respect. My wife and I were at their memorial service at the Lincroft Bible Church and it was wonderful to hear the many tributes given at that time.

to Mr. and Mrs Petersens family and friends, I am truly sorry for the death of your parents and friends, they died heroes on that flight, and just remember, they wont be forgotten, A cousin of mine was on that same plane, they fought to save themselves and saved many on the ground with their efforts, we must all remember this, and not let others forget. Having lost both of my parents, I know that pain you must be feeling, talk to each other, stay in close contact, support each other, you will all need each other. I will be thinking of you each and every day.. Sincerely, Debbie
