Ronald Gamboa 9/11/01

I have the honor of paying tribute to Ronald Gamboa.  He was 33 years old on 9/11/01.  He was a Manager at The Gap.  Ronald was a passenger on United Airlines Flight 175 along with his partner Daniel Brandhorst who's tribute I wrote below.  Also on board the flight was Ronald's 3 year old son David.  Heartbreaking, the loss of a whole family.  Here are messages that are on legacy.com from friends and family that have been left to Ronald.....

As a coworker of Ron, I can say that he is a great man. Every time he would come in to work he will light up the room. No matter how difficult the times were at work, he would always bring up a smile to my face. I miss him, but I know that he is up in heaven still telling me to make sure I always do my best in everything I do, now matter what it is. I think that Ron would like us to forgive but not forget his legacy, to live our lives to the fullest and be truth to ourselves as he did. I think about Ron all the time, and pray to god that him, Daniel and David are together as they were here and earth. God bless his family... Sergio Pelaez, Los Angeles, California
I think about Ron & Dan and little David all the time. You are missed, but never forgotten.
Ron,the Gap just don't make'em like you anymore.I will miss all the jokes the laughs and most of all everything thing David did the night before or that morning that was so cute!I remember the long drive from San Pedro to Santa Monica
on the 405N.I would leave 1 hour before my shift so I could get to work on time,if you live in Los Angeles you know the 405!I would be so stressed by the time I got to work, and then their was Ron! As happy as can be,the minute I would see him he would make some kind of joke that would just break the ice and would make me forget about the 405.I could honestly say it was worth the drive.I enjoyed being one of his Assistants and knowing such a person with a good heart.
May you all rest in peace! God Bless all of us. Adriana Favila, San Pedro, California

This was a beautiful tribute.

It was nice to see a couple of comments from Gap employees.

And thank you also Kelly, for linking to my tribute to David.
